About Goalhanger
The Role
About the role:
We are looking for creative, experienced, narrative focussed editors to assist us in growing our YouTube content. Editors for Goalganger should have a keen eye for story, pacing, structure and tone, using these skills to transform podcast content into highly engaging video shows. You’ll work on full episodes, trailers, and short clips. You should be confident with YouTube, B-roll, and retention focussed editing.
What you’ll do:
- Edit full YouTube episodes, specials, trailers, and short clips, as well re-purposing edits for Spotify specific listening
- Audio treatments
- Add B-roll, captions, graphics and light animation
- Collaborate with social producers and production team
- Suggest editorial cuts to keep the conversation flowing and engaging
- Work with both studio and remote footage
- Help Social Producers make clips for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram
- Apply feedback quickly and clearly, whilst simultaneously managing projects and deadlines across other Goalhanger shows

What we’re looking for:
- Excellent Premiere Pro and Audition skills (multicam editing, understanding of codecs, export settings and proxies etc.). After Effects is a bonus
- A love for the craft of editing engaging visual content
- Sharp eye for pacing, storytelling and narrative tone
- Experience editing for YouTube
- Understands how to keep viewers watching
- Confident cleaning up audio and visuals
- Organised, fast and reliable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-lead time management skills
- Minimum 3 years experience of narrative video editing
- Bonus: previous experience in editing drama or documentary content
